About
Glen Erin Golf Club is an homage to the strong Irish heritage of Janesville, Glen Erin, which literally mean "Ireland's Valley," sprawls across lush, emerald green hills that are accentuated with a prominent vale that runs throughout the course. The course has a distinctly Irish character with wide, undulating fairways and immense greens that are flanked with pot bunkers. Sandy waste areas and ribbons of native fescue serve as the outer rough. The elevation changes on the golf course range from subtle to dramatic. Golfers should be prepared for a fair amount of uneven lies as well as some forced carries. Glen Erin Golf Club finishes memorably with a long par 5 that offers a risk-reward opportunity. The double-tiered green is well guarded but with good placement and a little bit of luck, a birdie is definitely possible.

Wow...a hidden gem
A last minute booking...live north of Milw. and found Glen Erin in Janesville as a last minute special. $25 for this course was a steal. Fairways were pristine, which is unusual given weather conditions this year...no burn out anywhere. Greens are undulating and a good test, and just gorgeous. Would return anytime, even without the discount rate...yes it's that good.
