Viroqua Hills Golf Course
About
Viroqua Hills Golf Course is tucked away amongst lush, rolling hills in the heart of Vernon County. Originally opened in 1930 as a public nine-hole course, and another nine was added in 1996, bringing the length to over 6,300 yards. The original nine, holes 1-3 and 13-18, has a traditional design that plays across wooded hills. Getting to the new nine requires crossing through a tunnel where on the other side, two ponds and a waterfall await you. Both nines have a distinct character but they both feature undulating greens and wide fairways lined with mature pine, oak, and birch trees. There are also sand traps bordering the greens on 14 holes and the fairways on six holes. The 11th is Viroqua Hills Golf Course's signature hole, known for the scenic view from its elevated tee box perched 100 feet above the fairway.

Great course in a wonderful small town.
We play this course several times a year. It is in great shape for a course in rural Wisconsin -- I think the best one in the area. Staff are friendly, grounds are in great condition. Always enjoyable.
Beautiful, well maintained course.
We just started playing here this summer. Viroqua is a great course in rural Wisconsin. It is extremely well maintained although a bit difficult because of its location in the Wi Driftless Area.
Great value
Interesting layout with greens that are challenging
Well maintained
The staff is some of the most pleasant and friendly that you will find at any course
Beautiful course at great price
Well taken care of course and great price. Highly recommend to anyone at any level.
Great value for a great course.
Great value for a great course. Top notch crew, runs a fine golf course. I would play again anytime. Pretty hilly so may want to rent a cart.
Very nice course!
The course was in great condition, with the exception of several small areas of ground under repair! And those didn't really come into play! Can't wait to play the course again!!
Great experience.
My son and I played a full 18. Wide fareways with lots of elevation changes. Water hazards were well placed. Didn't lose any balls today! Staff very courteous. Beverage cart had all the anemities. We will be back!
The place to go...
Beautiful course, friendly staff and unbeatable prices. What more do you want? Save some money and play an excellent course.

All over good experience!
Wish we would have been told greens were sanded.
Beautiful course
Greens and fairways are in excellent condition. Some short holes but challenging. A tough test of putting skills.
Great conditions, great staff incredible value!
I have wanted to play this course for many years and finally got the chance! I wish they had a course this nice and as cost friendly in my home state. The Director of Folf was very welcoming and this carried through to the staff! I will definitely be back!
Nicest Course in the La Crosse Area that has GolfNow tee times
Everything was 100% outstanding.
Great condition and very accommodating
My wife and I have played this course several times this year and have chosen this as our local course. We moved to the area from Milwaukee. This is course has been in great shape all summer and very accommodating. It is underrated and priced right.
Great signature hole.
The staff was very friendly and check in was prompt and efficient. The greens ran true and had a nice pace to them. It is an interesting and fun course to play. I will definitely play it again and would recommend it to any one else. The par 5 eleventh is an awesome signature hole on the golf course.
Fun course with lots of variety
This is a very pretty course, and every hole is fun. It is hard enough and expensive enough to keep beginning players from wanting to play. Make sure you take a cart because the holes are spread apart and up and down hills. Hole 11 is a beautiful hole with a raised tee box that is on a cliff.
