Viroqua Hills Golf Course
About
Viroqua Hills Golf Course is tucked away amongst lush, rolling hills in the heart of Vernon County. Originally opened in 1930 as a public nine-hole course, and another nine was added in 1996, bringing the length to over 6,300 yards. The original nine, holes 1-3 and 13-18, has a traditional design that plays across wooded hills. Getting to the new nine requires crossing through a tunnel where on the other side, two ponds and a waterfall await you. Both nines have a distinct character but they both feature undulating greens and wide fairways lined with mature pine, oak, and birch trees. There are also sand traps bordering the greens on 14 holes and the fairways on six holes. The 11th is Viroqua Hills Golf Course's signature hole, known for the scenic view from its elevated tee box perched 100 feet above the fairway.

Great course
We love playing here. Great challenge and wonderful folk
Drift less gem
The course was in terrific shape and with the elevation changes and very nice and fast greens.
A terrific value. It's a fifty mile one way trip for me but we'll worth it.
Very friendly staff with a well stocked club house.
Can’t Miss This Course!
Every time we come up to Wisconsin from Ohio to see family, this is a can’t miss golf course. I absolutely love this course. The layout is challenging, but playable, and holds some breathtaking views. The value for the money is fantastic as well and I highly recommend that everyone who visits the area play this course.
Great experience
This is a fine golf course. It was in very good shape except for some hardened dirt granules on the greens that affected putting. I think this was due to aeration and will soon be obviated. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Thanks Viroqua Hilo’s for a great golf experience.
Will Be Back
Didn't like a couple of the blind shots on the original 9, but overall this course was a nice surprise. Greens rolled very true, and the sand was the best/most consistent of any course I have played this year. I will definitely avoid men's day next time as the pace of play was very slow, but will definitely be playing this course again!
Favorite Course
By far my favorite course in the 50 mile radius. Great course conditions, friendly staff, greens run true, less bugs than most in west Wisco. Can't oversell how consistently good this course is for the area and at a good value.
With all the rain the course still played great.
We have had a lot of rain lately and the course still played great. Drains well and the greens and fairways are in great condition. A gem in Viroqua Wisconsin.
Great course in a wonderful small town.
We play this course several times a year. It is in great shape for a course in rural Wisconsin -- I think the best one in the area. Staff are friendly, grounds are in great condition. Always enjoyable.
Beautiful, well maintained course.
We just started playing here this summer. Viroqua is a great course in rural Wisconsin. It is extremely well maintained although a bit difficult because of its location in the Wi Driftless Area.
