Krooked Kreek Golf Course
About
Krooked Kreek Golf Club has a scenic location nestled between the bluffs of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and the glacial eskers of western Wisconsin. The aptly named course has a creek that zigzags haphazardly across the landscape. The golf course was opened as a nine-hole course in 1990 and the back nine was added five years later. The front nine sprawls across mostly flat terrain and the generous greens offer some rooms for error, but you'll have to be careful because the layout gets tougher on the back nine. The greens are much smaller on the back side and they are much more undulating, making accuracy and thoughtful course management the key to a good score. Wetlands come into play on 11 holes at Krooked Kreek Golf Club, and there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Nice challenge, quick greens
Krooked Kreek is a fun course with plenty of challenges to maintain your attention. The greens were speedy and true. We happened to be there when there was a small flock of sand hill cranes that were around several holes and a delight to watch and hear.
Krooked Kreek gets my recommendation.
kkgc
It is over rated at golfnow. This course is just like a common neighborhood golf course. It shouldn't be rated more than 3.5. I think 3 is cerrect rate.
Overall a nice course to frequent
The wall between the bar and the "pro shop" is awkward. A different layout would be more inviting. Nice electric carts to ride, but not a bad course to walk. Need to replace the driving range balls more often. We will be back!
Over Rated Course
We drove from St Paul for the high rated review. This course is over rated. It is average at best. The course layout is pretty flat. Nothing exciting. The pace today is ver slow. No course marshal. It took us over 4 1/2 hours. The staff are very friendly. But still no worthy for the long drive if you are living in the twin cities.
Great value
Cool little country course. Staff is always great. Worth the hour drive.
Five miles from my house
I should play here more often, it's a great course and always in good to great shape. You will enjoy your day here.
Fun Track
Krooked Kreek is a fun course with just a couple quirky holes. Course was in great shape and the greens ran very true. Beer cart girl was going the wrong way all day but that was the only bad thing.Going to bring a group out there next year. Staff was very nice and made sure we had a great day.
Much to like.
I didn't really find anything not to like here. The greens were in excellent shape, as was the whole course. A variety of challenges, including water, sand and numerous doglegs. The setting is nice and peaceful. Pretty rural with a nice mixture of woods and water. Many flowers planted throughout the course were a nice touch that added to the scenery. The nice staff and fair weather made it an all around good day on the golf course.
My take
The course was in great shape. Greens were fast, soft and rolled true. Staff was friendly and the beverage cart came around often. Deer flies all around though.
Play it again.
Played it twice and if I lived in this area I would play it A LOT. Golf Now price made it cheap. The course is short, the first round I played with a member from second Tee's. He was fun and helpful. Second round I played alone, played through two groups. Playing from the tips allowed me to use driver on most holes BUT they do have several par fives that are very unique.
Great course
It a great course and love golfing here, can't wait to come back.
Great Rural Course, far drive from the Twin Cities
Overall the conditions at Krooked Kreek are solid; the tee boxes are nicely groomed and level, their fairways are lined with mature trees are are fairly open so you can find you ball, greens are in great shape and in some cases very challenging in their small size . One hole at this course that you'll remember is the par 5 where you have to hit 425+ yards down the fairway and then take a 120 degree angle turn back to the green with your 3rd shot. Very tall mature trees guard the hidden green from a fair shot cutting over the trees. Worth the drive, although it is a ways from the cities.
Can you say dogleg?
The course in in very good shape. Our cart was dirty when we got it which is an instant turn-off for me.
Most of the greens are large and in nice shape.
got a good deal on golfnow but would have been disappointed if I would have paid full price to play this course.
Lots of doglegs and water caries.
Lots of great looks.
Some very unique hole designs, natural terrains and a layout you need to really think your way around. It was a lot of fun and terrific weather just added to the experience.
excellent greens and overall condition
I love playing this course as a single, I can get around 18 with cart in 2.5hrs. Course is in great condition. Grounds crew is really friendly and
considerate of players.
I like this course.
I have played this course many times and always have a good time on it. The back 9 is quite a bit more difficult than the front 9. We rode a cart but it can be walked easily if you prefer. The only problem that I had was that we booked it with Golfnow and the course doesn't include the online fee in their published price like other courses we have booked. So you end up paying another $7 for the two rounds. I think it would be more customer friendly and honest if the online fee was included in the published price.
Great course....staff are always good...
The greens are beautiful...lush and green.
The course is very open....just wish it was tighter in some areas.
Interesting, lots of water hazards
Very good condition, but soft in the wet areas. Would be hard to play after a big rain.
We were behind a 5some on Sunday, which should never be allowed on weekends. The good value of this course brings out some poor and slow players so pace can be very slow. No rangers to help speed up play.
Quality greens but desperately need on course yardage markers.
Great value through golf now ($17 w-cart).
Impressive greens, decent fairways, poor tee boxes.
Not a long course but they implement challenges through course layout. Very slow pace of play through first 9, opened on the back 9. Desperate need for on course yardage markers.
Overall a quality experience.
fun course
The course was in great shape. Not to short buy not to long. Needs more portapottys away from the club house.
