Krooked Kreek Golf Course
About
Krooked Kreek Golf Club has a scenic location nestled between the bluffs of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and the glacial eskers of western Wisconsin. The aptly named course has a creek that zigzags haphazardly across the landscape. The golf course was opened as a nine-hole course in 1990 and the back nine was added five years later. The front nine sprawls across mostly flat terrain and the generous greens offer some rooms for error, but you'll have to be careful because the layout gets tougher on the back nine. The greens are much smaller on the back side and they are much more undulating, making accuracy and thoughtful course management the key to a good score. Wetlands come into play on 11 holes at Krooked Kreek Golf Club, and there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Good mix of easy and challenging holes. The green conditions were excellent! The tee boxes could use some TLC.
Fun but still chalenging
I love this course and what a good bargain using Last Minute Golf
course has some fun holes
course is in good shape not too busy some interesting holes.14-18 are the best some challenge holes buy themselves.
Good value, friendly staff.
I played Krooked Creek a number of times over the years. It's a bit of a drive from the Western Twin Cities suburbs but well worth the trip. Enjoy the friendliness of the staff and the course is well laid out with several very interesting holes. Great value and as noted previously friendly staff.
Fun course with not too much difficulty. Back 9 is more challenging and also more scenic. Extremely friendly and laid back staff at clubhouse. Greens are in mint condition as well as the fairways (all the rain has made all courses good in that area this summer).
Great Value
Play it more than once. Course knowledge makes the second round very enjoyable!
First Time Playing course, was great
Pace of play was great for a Sat. Morning, Course lay out was good, Very friendly personnel and cart girl. Good to see a cart person that early in morning. Was very hot, Good to see management or owners think about the customers.. Will make trip back to play again soon.
Great experience
This course gets two big thumbs up. I got out at 8:07 and the staff was very curtious. Grounds crew would stop what they were doing until I hit my shot which I really respect. Course was in great shape, just a few fairways that need a touch up, but nothing to complain about. Would 100% recommend to a friend.
Challenging but fair
Krooked Kreek is a hidden gem just 45 minutes away from the northern suburbs. The course is always well maintained & the regulars are very friendly! The greens are very fast with lots of undulations, but roll very true. The scenery is amazing, lots of trees & water/swamp features but you can score low here. I have golfed here 4 times this year & plan to be back next year.
This course has beautiful views.
We played on a beautiful fall day when the trees were brilliant. I was surprised that there were few leaves on the course and we had no problems finding our balls. The course has some challenging holes but is very playable. The course was well kept.
try it
Really enjoyed the course. Flatter than most in WI. Large greens and wide fareways.
Fun course
The course is fun, a little challenging and this year it was in great shape.
Pleasantly Surprised
Got a great price online so decided to give the course a try and was pleasantly surprised by the layout and course conditions - very nice. The greens were exceptionally fast but playable once getting accustomed to them. Had some fun on a good day with friendly groups that let a single play through.
Decent course, probably best for locals
Probably not worth the hour-long drive from the Twin Cities since there are plenty of great courses much closer for a similar price, but was still a decent round of golf.
Course difficulty was fairly easy, nothing too challenging worth cautioning about.
Length of the course was moderate but on the shorter side.
Rough was cut pretty short.
Very helpful "18 Hole Aerial Flyover Tour" video of course on the course website (I recommend checking it out).
About half of the holes are some form of dogleg.
Large practice putting green, decent driving range (put a token in a machine for balls).
Friendly staff, good-sized bar, food & drinks available, plenty of tables inside & outside.
Gravel parking lot & cart paths.
Only major con:
The blue tees were not out for us so playing the whites made the course feel shorter than usual and what we had expected.
