Red/White at Mascoutin Golf Club
About
The Red/White Course was the original 18-hole course at Mascoutin Golf Club in Berlin when it opened back in 1976. Later, in 1999, the Blue nine was added to give golfers the choice between three different 18-hole combinations. Being the older course, the Red/White combination is covered with mature trees. They line the fairways, demanding accuracy, and they also frame the greens. The Red Course is the longer and slightly more challenging of the two nines but Mascoutin's White nine has a few water hazards coming into play in the form of small ponds. A few strategically placed bunkers also make an appearance throughout the course, but they are not overwhelming. There are challenges in store for more advanced players but overall, all of the courses are invitingly player friendly.

Awesome
Part of the ourse was in good condition for time of year (sand traps and greens) rest was in excellent condition.
With it being the first time there there was difficulty knowing where the next tee box / hole was. Signed could be better!
Joe's Review
Friendly & helpful staff. Nice course in great shape.
I had to come back
I played White/Red earlier in the week and had to come back to play the Blue course. It's the newest of the three 9-hole courses and very different than the other two but equally as fun and challenging. Probably less thinking involved than the other two courses which affords the opportunity to just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Hole #2 is not particularly difficult if you just hit it to the upper level of the fairway, but it's one of the coolest holes I've ever seen. I was expecting it to be a little wet with the amount of rain earlier in the day, but the grass was in really good shape. This was my second time golfing Mascoutin, and I'll probably come back for a third before the end of the week.
Hidden gem of Wisconsin
The course has 27 holes. Red, white & blue 9’s. The range and practice area are better than average, the range has markers put out daily from 20-50 yard signs as well as multiple targets for short game practice. They also have a nice green side bunker area and pitching / chipping area. We played white and blue. The course was in good condition with a few wet areas. The course has a lot of bunkers both fairway and green side. The white nine is a nice layout, the greens are fairly large. The blue nine is full of one great looking hole after another. There are 4 sets of tees and if you play the tee that fits your abilities everyone can envoy the course. If you play tees you don’t belong on this place will eat you up. I picked up the game last month again after not touching my clubs for about 12 years. I would call myself an above average player who is currently playing to about a 20 handicap. I played with my son who is in the same boat. We played the white tees and enjoyed the course.
Hidden Gem
I've played 200 rounds of golf in the last 2 years, and this place was one of the best courses I've ever golfed. And for $30 with a Hot Deal. Super chill atmosphere outside of a tiny town, and the locals clearly care a lot about their golf. I played White/Red, and I was surprised at how difficult the course was from the tips. Tons of mature trees and sand bunkers to think about while navigating the course made it very mentally stimulating. No two holes were the same. It had rained recently, but the fairways, rough, and greens were all in good shape. The course was wide-open, and I easily finished in 3 hours. I drove 75 minutes from Madison, and I will 100% be back.
Year end golf deal
Would like to come back with my son yet this fall. Will there by any deals? 2 for 1??
Thank you!
Great course, booked into a group - sent out as a single
I booked a single time off of Golf Now where there were other tee times booked already. Sadly, they sent me out alone so of course the pace would be fast and slow. I wish that courses wouldn't break out the single bookers out of the GolfNow groups... then on 17 and 18 I was lucky enough to catch up to a 6some. Probably members. Nice course, in great shape but may avoid unless I book with a group.
Great weather
Wide fairways, challenging greens, plenty of bunkers.
Would recommend highly.
Great Golf Course
Very fast but fair greens. Excellent course design. Well conditioned. A very enjoyable round for my wife and I!! We will definitely be back!!!
Tremendous Value
Played the Red/White 18 today. Perfect temperature (approx, 70 degrees), slight breeze. Course was in great condition for May 14. Very little traffic - can't believe it for this quality of a course. A great value!
Perfect Conditions and Layout
27 hole course, only played white and blue. Both 9s I played over hilly to very hilly terrain. Housing is part of the white 9 but it does not impact play. Must play if in the area.
