Cherry Hills Lodge & Golf Course
About
Cherry Hills Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling countryside in Sturgeon Bay. The layout tumbles across a variety of elevation changes that make for some challenging, hard-to-read greens. Some have even compared them to Pinehurst's famous greens. Be prepared to have your short-game skills thoroughly tested. The front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine where the fairways are narrower and many are lined with out-of-bounds stakes. Water hazards come into play one four holes and there are a few strategically placed sand traps. The golf course is challenging but fair and not too intimidating for beginners, especially since at just over 6,200 yards, it is a manageable length. In addition to the course, there is also a lighted driving range at Cherry Hills G.C.

Golf Carts
This course really needs to work on improving their cart paths. Our particular golf cart was in poor repair as well.
Nice course with some scenic holes
Overall, Cherry Hills is a decent course for the average golfer. It has some challenging holes and they've improved the greens since the last time I played it.
Decent for the price
I'll start off by saying I'm not the greatest golfer in the world so I enjoy just getting out. My 2 boys are much better than I. That being said I really liked the course especially the back 9. Input from my kids included fairways needed watering. There's LOTS of grading on the greens in that the ball will roll if you don't bury it. We had lots of balls roll off the greens even with minimal effort. We loved the back 9 as the said shooting down one of the par 3s was like driving down a hallway lol. I wished we could give it a 3.5! Scenery there is awesome! It was understaffed (just 1 employee on a Tuesday) so he had double duty as resort manager and golf shop manager. No drink cart out there but we were made aware of that before we left so we refilled on the turn. Fun course to play. Not crowded at all!
Convenient Course
The weather has been a little rough on everything including this course. Easy to access and easy to play with several points of good interest. And reasonable value for the money.
Need rain / watering..
Course is in need of rain / watering. Fairways rock hard / dry. Course layout is nice with interesting holes.
Very interesting course to play
This course has some very interesting and challenging holes. There are a lot with doglegs so it is not just a driving range of holes. There are a couple that are very challenging that are either narrow and require precise hit and another blind hole that I originally missed the sign on distance to lay up. Luckily not being able to see I layer up in just the right spot. The course is in very good condition and well maintained. It is early in the season and without water this could easily change. I would definitely play here again.
Still dissapoints
Hadn't golfed here fore a couple of years, gave it another try to see if it has improved. It hasn't. Not well maintained, although it is a nice piece of property, it is not visually appealing due to the lack of maintenance.
A Cherry Gem
Loved this course! So many elevation changes to make it very interesting. Saw everything from Chinese geraniums to Baltimore Orioles to dragonflies. It’sa really beautiful piece of property.
Nice course, needs work
The course needs work on weed control and mowing the rough more evenly..
