NorthWood Golf Course
About
Northwood Golf Club provides a pleasant getaway that has the advantage of being less crowded than a metropolitan course and the convenience of being less than three hours north of Wisconsin's major cities. The peaceful feeling of seclusion is enhanced even further by the course's location just minutes from hundreds of lakes as well as the Pelican and Wisconsin Rivers. The golf course plays across rolling, wooded hills. Mature trees frame the holes and they helped to carve the shape of the challenging doglegs. Northwood is a course that will test your accuracy but it is also more forgiving than it seems. There are a few holes featuring water hazards including the par-3 11th, which has an island green. Wind is also a factor on many holes.

Beautiful Course
This course is very scenic! Challenging and fun! The weather wasn't perfect, so I will definitely play this again. Need some new carts. They are a little rough.
Scenic northwoods course
Bring lots of balls if you're not a straight hitter.
Greens were on great shape, staff super friendly!
Enjoyable experience;
Great course. Great condition. Great price.
From tee to green every shout is a challenge
Bring your A game.
Highly recommend
This was my first time golfing at Northwoods. Beautiful course. Lost a lot of golf balls because I have a tendency to slice. That being said Still had a great time on the course. The staff is very friendly and I would highly recommend this course to someone who wants to go out and enjoy 18 rounds up in the Northwoods.
Don’t miss this gem
Played twice while in the area. If there was time I would play it every day
From tee to green, very challenging..
Bring your A game.
Tee shots are very important on this tree lined undulating course. .Almost all the fairway’s are bordered by woods. Setting up a good approach shot to the greens is a must. 3 puts are the penalty if you don’t. Greens are usually fast with Good undulation.
A somewhat long course coming in at 6720 yards.
If you like a course that will challenge that space between the ears, give it a try.
excellent conditions for late sept
course was breathtaking - fall colors, bright sun, pure blue sky, deep green fairways and greens - every hole a post card photo waiting to be snapped. greens fast and true and fairways amazingly free of debris for late sept
Northwoods
Overall course is pretty driving thru the woods. Fairways cut short and seemed damp if not wet in alot of places. Greens and pin locations more challenging than most I have played. Fun place to play make sure you bring extra balls woods are thick.
Great value
Very nice course, friendly staff, and enjoyable place to play
Just ok.
The course was in decent condition, but the layout is very odd. Most of the holes required a layup with a 3 wood or long iron because of the dogleg at the exact wrong location. Greens were pretty decent and fairly quick. Fairways were in decent condition, but were quite soggy despite not having much rain over the past week. Pace of play really slowed down after 2 holes. I do t think I would choose this course again, over some of the other courses in the northwoods. Definitely wouldn’t pay full price to play.
Enjoyable Course
This course is in great shape. This was the first time playing and I found it to be a good course for any skill level.
Challenging
Narrow fairways may want to leave your driver in the bag.
