Bridges Golf Course
About
Bridges Golf Course is a municipal, 18-hole course that sits on the northeastern side of Madison, just south of the airport. It’s popular with locals since it’s both affordable and challenging. The layout starts out on low-lying wetlands and then on the back nine it climbs up a ridge along Anderson Avenue. For a championship golf course it’s not particularly long at 6,900 yards from the back tees, but golfers will still face several tricky holes. Players of all skill levels will enjoy Bridges Golf Course for its variety of risk-reward opportunities. It’s not terribly punishing though so beginners can approach it with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Bridges offers a practice facility that includes a driving range and two separate practice greens for chipping and putting.

Cart paths are in horrible shape, good layout and challenging
unkept
The course is like playing in a farm field. Very unkept. Long grasses around greens etc. Sand traps - no sand and grasses. Very difficult to find balls in such tall grasses all over! Stressful play.
Much improved course
Second time I played this course.
Condition is very improved
. Demanding off the tee
Drive the ball straight or risk loosing it in the swamp/lakes that line most fairways
Bridges
Winter weather just ended! Hope to play this course next month
I’m hopeful that they will make repairs
Tee off took advantage of us
I looked for tee time deals on tee off and found cart and golf at the Bridges for $22.90. I called my brother to ask if he could join me at that time and he told me after about 20 minutes that his calendar was clear for it and so I went back to book it only to find that the price went up to over $30. I booked it anyway, but that was a $14 difference. I had never seen tee off or Golfnow do that before. Then later I checked it to find out that the other two tee times went down to $20. It makes me feel like in this time of inflation anyone will do anything to get an extra few bucks out of you.
Good cheap round
For $25 for 18 and a cart this was a great value. The greens were just airaited so they were a bit Sandy and bumpy. Otherwise it was over all in great shape.
Way overpriced
I play courses in Metro Chicago that are much more manicured than this one for the money. I think I paid $69? I was disappointed
Great Track for the hot deal!
Very tight course. Have to be accurate, but not overly long. Ground can be a little spongey on the marsh-y holes, but not too bad. Overall the course was in good shape!
Added bonus: if you’re there on the right day, F-16s will take off over head from the airport just a few blocks away! Memorable day of golf for sure.
last round of the year in WI!
Weather was perfect foe one more round in Madison WI.
Course was a bit rough with longer grass on fairways and greens but it was still okay.
