White Birch at Brighton Dale Links
About
There are two 18-hole golf courses available at Brighton Dale Links, White Birch and Blue Spruce. There is also Red Pine, a nine-hole, par-36 course. All three courses are known for their beautiful setting, tucked away amongst cathedral pines and forests of deciduous trees. The marshland and lakes provide a scenic contrast to the abundance of trees that cover the rolling hills. At 6,977 yards from the back tees, White Birch is the longer of the two championship courses by about 300 yards and it offers the slightly tougher challenge. Water comes into play frequently as do strategically placed bunkers. The towering trees that line the fairways and frame the holes pose the most intimidating threat though. Accuracy is essential and good course management will be generously rewarded.

Wow
This course far exceeded my expectations on many levels. It was exquisitely maintained, beautiful and fun. It was also (in my view) a little too difficult for the average golfer--230 yard par 3? Really? A par 4 (#9) that few people could reach in regulation even with two good shots. But overall, a very nice experience and highly recommended.
Not worth the drive.
I drove 35 miles to play here. It started out with a no good brat & burger lunch. The course was packed so much that we kept on waiting on the tee.
Hidden Gem
I have played all the holes and both courses in Kansasville. White birch is not a hard course. Very wide open course. What has me talking abiut the white course is there LONG PAR 3'S. MY FRIENDS & I play from the tips or back tees. Im no pro but love the distance on this course ftom the back tees. But the 12th hole from the blue tees is a 243 yards from the back tee box its a driver for anybody. Nice layout. Very well taken care of course. Greens in excellent condition. Friendly staff good range to practice before your round. U play in morning or late in the evening the sun can be difficult off many tee boxes would be my only flaw of white birch.
A very challenging course
The course is in great shape, tee to green. If you are looking for a good challenge, this is the course to play. When your done golfing, there is a nice clubhouse with very friendly staff to serve you and your buddies a "cold one".
This course is well maintained.
Course was challenging, need to play a second time to score well and know the layout. Does need work on traps ... sand a bit course and not thick enough. But hey, keep shots to fairways and greens! Greens were reasonable speed and consistent from one to the other.
Great course great shape
It was a beautiful day and the course is in great shape.
Course was in good condition but the pace of play was very slow.
This course has always been one of our favorites,it has every element that will challenge even the better players. It gives you a sense of being in a pristine environment except for a couple holes that runs along the road ,but it's farmland across the road. There are several holes that has dramatic elevation changes both up and downhill.
Pace was very slow this time but it was 4th of July weekend. I recommend this course to anyone in Kenosha and northern illinois area.
Excellent value
This course is always a good value. Good pace of play every one of the many times I have played it. Course was flooded by weeks of rain, cart path only, and we still finished in under 4.5 hours. Typical muni condition with fairways and greens slower than high end courses but in good condition Sandwiches and breakfast good. Staff stopped to help look for an errant shot
Great course
We just moved to the area and played many courses. This course by far is the best course in the area. Great greens, fairways, and kept up great! But, this is a tough course with water, trees, and bunkers playing on almost all holes. Very long par 3s but excellent!!!
Great Course
Great course with large oak trees, bogs, kettles, large elevated greens with good roll. A well kept course.
Sunday Morning
Staff was awesome. Very friendly. Very helpful. Course was in good condition.
As always
Brightondale is one of my favorite courses. It has a great layout. Course is always in the best condition it can be no matter what the weather has been. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Will definitely play here again!
Excellent course! Played in early spring and even then the course was outstanding!
Play This Course
I played in late October and the tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great condition. The greens were a little slow, as to be expected, but they rolled very nicely. All the sprinkler heads had distances on them, which is very helpful. The course is scenic with several hazards. I played the Gold Tees (between red and white tees), so some the hazards were not in play, since i hit drives over 250 yards. If you want to make the course difficult, play the white or blue tees, otherwise the gold tees make it moderately difficult. Very nice course for the price.
great course
excellent course in excellent shape! One of the best courses I've played all year
great value for money
the course is in very good condition for a county course, the layout is very challenging
Great course!!
First time playing this course. Far exceeded my expectations! Beautiful and in great condition!! Great value for the $! Would recommend to any golfer. Definitely will be returning to play!!
Pace a little Slow
They need the marshals out on the coarse more as the pace of play was very slow. But for the money tough to beat the value.
fun
had fun so much so that we play another 18. and had
We have beefed up on our ranger staff and we are keeping the pace of play at 4 hours or less. Thanks for the review!
