The Creeks at Ivy Acres
About
The Creeks at Ivy Acres (formerly known as Eagle Creek Golf Club) is tucked away in the rolling hills of northeast Wisconsin. It is only a few miles outside of Appleton although it feels much more secluded. The scenic landscape is virtually treeless and cut with ribbons of tall native grasses, providing the ideal setting for a round of links golf. Just like any traditional links layout, the presence of nearly 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout poses some of the most formidable challenges but there are also 11 lakes and two wandering creeks to contend with as well as fourteen wetland depressions. The Creeks at Ivy Acres's challenging greens are laid across dramatic undulations that can make them difficult to read. It is an especially tough test on a windy day, forcing you to hit your shots low if you want to keep them straight.

Good challenging course
Links style course. Good challenging course with great views. Peace of okay was good.
Golf course with a great layout.
This is a top notch golf course. With lousy weather course is not in mid-season form. Alot of the greens were not pretty, although putts rolled fairly true. Green speed was down somewhat I would think. I would absolutely recommend the course and would love to play it again in mid-July or August.
Mow the greens please
This is great course overall and I golf her 2-3 times per year. The biggest complaint was with a tee time after 8:30 there was not one green cut today. The dew was thick until 11:30. So if you like your ball hydroplaning on the green it is a great course. Not sure where the grounds crew was, but it was not a good situation today.
Great design
Enjoyed playing this course again. Built on relatively flat land, this is one of the best designed courses around the area. Very challenging course even for low handicaps. The course was well conditioned which added to our enjoyment.
very nice course
Would have no reservations about playing this course again. Nice large undulating greens with good speed. Nice use of water & fescue. Good link's style layout.
Pretty course!
If you like a links course, check this one out. Pretty & challenging!
Greens are undulating & for me, difficult!
Got the impression the boss was out of town.
Normally I love this course but my son & I had a bad experience yesterday. The staff from check in, cart girl and others seemed completely disinterested. They had obviously had an outing earlier because the course was strewn with marshmallows. Since marshmallows look similar to golf balls from a distance we had to waste time locating our balls. Also, the pin placements were in places they should never be. We played late day and the greens were full of unrepaired ball marks and divots which made putting even more of a challenge than usual. As I said, this course typically offers a great experience so I'll write off yesterday as a fluke. I'll let you know if it becomes a trend.
Beautiful hidden gem
This course is beautiful. It's kept in great condition and the greens are very solid. The course features a great variety of holes that will allow you to hit every club in the bag. Other than being in the middle of nowhere it's a great play.
chalenging hidden gem
undualating greens fast beautiful conditions one the best hidden gems i have found in long time,
Nice course, good value
Good course, couple of holes are very tight, greens a little slow
Too much for inexperienced golfer. Good challenge. Must think.
Very nice course. Many target golf holes. Played the blue tees which required many lay-up tee shots. Glad I had my GPS since there were several blind shots. Could use a few aiming marks for first time players (like on #15). Also could use some more signage to tell you where the next hole is. Conditions were very good but the greens could have been a little faster. Over all- excellent. Will go back.
Nice course, poor staff....
The course was nice. Good bunkering and a nice mix of holes. My main issue was with a general lack of warmness of the staff. Upon arrival, the kid behind the counter (after staring at me for 5 seconds with a "what do YOU want look?") greeted me with a "S'up?". Lack of a ranger meant start times were debatable and probably had something to do with the blaring rap and country music from boom boxes on carts.
Overall, I liked the course, the aesthetics....well....
Tough green course, among the best in the valley area.
Recommend to always take a cart some holes have sizable gaps fom green to next tee, impacting time to play. Cart girls are nice but they put the drinks on from room tempertaure each day so the drinks are hardly chilled when you buy them; wish they would refrigate them ahead of time. Other than that it is a beautiful course and challenging to making you use all the clubs in your bag at some point.
Tournament slow down
We arrived only to find out the course had a tournament out right in front of us. We waited for our tee time as the course wanted them to get out in front of us. The first 5 holes we played in under an hour after the foursome in front of us had a 3 hole head start. The last 3 holes of the front nine took over an hour. The course at least gave us back the difference between a 9 hole rate and our 18 hour rate we payed. Just wish we would have know it was going to be that slow and we could have scheduled elsewhere.
Links,long and challenging
First time there found it long and if you hit straight with controlled distances you will be ok. If not, bring extra balls :). It was fun and I will golf there again.
Outstanding!
This beautiful course has just enough links-style and woods to make you use every club in your bag. It's well-maintained and the layout is wonderful.
The staff is very casual and they were more than happy to offer us raincheck cards for the nine holes we didn't get to play due to rain. I'm definitely going back whenever I can!
Offers different shots
This course offers a variety of shots which is great. Offers a couple holes that has water in play. Has some shots where you hit over swamp land, some exciting par 3's. I drove about an hour and a half for this course, it was worth it. It's a course that is worth doing at least once in your life you will not be disappointed at all.
