Pine Hills Golf Course
About
Pine Hills Golf Course is a championship course that was carefully carved from the beautiful North Woods located 30 minutes northwest of Shawano. The abundance of mature trees is the layout's defining characteristic. They shape the doglegs and line the fairways, making accuracy a necessity. There is also a surprising amount of elevation changes throughout that make the course even more challenging. The occasional water hazard comes into play but they do not pose a serious threat. Good course management is key but overall it is a playable round no matter what your skill level though it doesn't hurt to warm up on the club's driving range or putting green. Pine Hills G.C. location nestled within the forest may explain why it is still one of the best-kept secrets in central Wisconsin.

Poor communication
Showed up to play the coarse after purchasing on line previously.
Was not able to play the coarse due to an outing at the coarse. Course was closed to golfers with a sign at the front door saying that the back greens were also closed. Totally disappointed with both GolfNow and Pine Hills. Drive time to the coarse was 1:30 minutes.
Help needed.
We got behind two very slow foursomes. Pace was extremely slow. No rangers on coarse to keep people moving.
Greens we’re not what we’ve seen before. Tee boxes and greens are in need of a break and some tender loving care. Not sure what staffing is currently ?
Nice North woods layout
Typical up north layout similar to Waushara CC good value in GolfNow interesting holes
Back in time
I grew up playing Pine Hills in the late 60's and thru the 70's. Worked weekends there as a kid. So fun to see it now. Everything has changed from 50 years ago, but all for the better. Course is in great shape. Price to play was super reasonable. Will definitely make this an annual visit.
Ball Washers
No water in ball washers and no towels for ball washers.
Long Hot day
We love Pine Hills!! It is a hidden gem. It was a very hot day but not much you can do about that other than stay home. The deer flies and gnats were a bit distracting. It was not busy except for a group of 8 guys ( two 4somes) in front of us. I was made aware this group would be playing that morning when I made the tee time, so I made it for 15 minutes before their scheduled time. They got there early and both groups went out in front of us. The round lasted over 4 1/2 hours. We had to wait on almost every hole and there were times all three of our 4somes were on the same hole. What made it more disturbing was there was no one else to be seen on the course. In hindsight I wish we could/would have started on the back 9. I did ask at the turn if we could jump ahead of both groups to hole 11 or 12 because they had no intention of letting us play through. We decided not to do that and thus had a long, hot afternoon.
Great Course
Great place to play... today the nats and flys your kinda bad. I would suggest bring bug spray. Overall a very nice place for a round of golf
Ok ???
Really disappointed with no beer carts at all. Zero notta nowhere. For this price there should be some kind of accommodation on course especially when it is 90* degrees outside. Very very disappointing, if there is a next time I will call ahead to see if there will be a beer cart on course, i think you should do the same
Great course
For being early spring, greens and fairways are really good
Native wildlife of Wisconsin
From the glamorous log cottage pro shop and restaurant, too the exciting north woods golf course. There is something special to see around every corner. So take a drive and play , you won't want to leave.. !
