Lots of dog legs
Front nine, lots of doglegs. #7 hole par 5, had a 90 deg left dogleg. Accurate shots a must. Very interesting. Course was in nice shape, greens rolled true. Lots of water. Back nine was more forgiven. Open fairways. Hole #18 starts with beautiful tee shot over water to an hidden elevated green,
slight dogleg right. Very nice. Great day, golfing.
Sweet
Blackstone is an excellent value and a fun course to play. A variety on tee lengths makes the course very playable for all skill levels and ages.
Nice course
Nice course. Definitely will be back. Nice staff. Well maintained.
Target Golf
The course isn't long but is challenging for its distance. It is somewhat tight with trees and water. The greens rolled well. If you like target golf, you will like this course, since it has many holes like that. I personally am not a fan of target golf, but would still play this course again. Try not to walk this course if possible; many holes have a hike between them.
Better than expected
We played 18 holes last week and found the course to be in above average condition - especially the greens. They were fast and true. We're looking forward to playing it again.
A good deal is not always what it seems
Could have used a starter, pace of play poor, totally not relaxing or enjoyable round of golf. Leaves not cleared well from fairways compared to other courses in the area. Cart girls need lessons on where to stop to catch golfers for beverages & snacks. Only saving grace was cost of golf and the weather.
Good Deal
I used to play here a lot but rarely the last few years. The course conditions had gotten pretty bad. I was pleasantly surprised, the course is still a bit rough but I thought the greens were quite good, rolling well and holding well. The pace of play on a Friday afternoon was very good. The staff was very nice and with the GolfNow price a good value.
Very playable course with variety
This course is a great track. Its very playable with a great combination of scorable holes, and holes that require some versatility to make par. There is some trouble on the layout, but not too much to make it unjoyable. Great place!
NIce Course
Had played this course about 5 years ago and wanted to see how my game had improved {I hoped). Course was in very good shape, staff was very friendly . Paced was a little slow, part could have been due to some rain that passed through on the front nine, probably more due to strong winds all day. Would certainly recommend and will also be back again. Best advice is to keep the ball out of the trees!!
Rained out
I found this imparticular day very frustrating .
Could not drive or hit a fair way . Lost more balls than I have all year . It was foggy , gloomy and very sticky. I didn't get to finish and left start of bk 9. It started to rain fairly hard and was wet and just over it . Terrible day but can say course I would love to play again and experience in full . I do remember a lot of water .
Out of Control
There is no ranger that controls the course. I saw a group of 11 people playing a hole at one time. Spent most of my time waiting. Terrible pace of play.
Won't be back
Way over priced for the goat ranch burned out dry pan conditions. Had to wait between every shot. There was a group of 3 in front of us and a group of 5 in front of them. Golf Now gave me a promo code to get a discount but it didn't work.
Okay
Course is okay for beginner to intermediate players. Advance player will out drive most of the par 4 holes.
Good value
Greens were good along with fairways. For the price we paid Golfnow it was a good deal. Too many geese and droppings on course.
Worth a try
Played 18 on a sat. Morning w/ 2 others. This was the first time any of us had played here.Other than a few bad spots in various fairways and having to navigate geese and their many droppings (both of these issues due to the fact there is a decent amount of water/wetlands that the course routes through) we all thought the course/layout was decent and offered up a nice challenge. As I stated above there is a bit of water that can come into play, with that and a bunch of holes w/ doglegs (more right than left ) you will likely use a variety of clubs when teeing off.The pace of play was nice as we're the golf staff.Overall a good time and would go back again as well as recommend the course to my other golfing friends.
