Frederic Golf Course is the result of a large community effort, spearheaded by dedicated Frederic resident, Clifford Erickson. The course opened in 1957 as a nine-hole layout and didn't get its second nine until 2000. You'll get plenty of variety on this golf course with both right and left doglegs as well as straightaway holes. The layout features rolling fairways that provide a few blind shots and the greens putt true and fast but they have slopes that will make you look twice before making your putt. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and fairways. Despite the undulating nature of the terrain, the golf course is nicely walkable. Frederic Golf Course has some challenging holes that reward creative shot making and strategy, but it's not an overly punishing layout if you're slightly errant.

Excellent product and easy to install

Fun track
There's a lot to enjoy here at Frederic. Something for everyone. Pace of play is great, friendly staff and reasonably priced.
Early season
I enjoyed the friendly staff and the sunshine. I was challenged by the still-draining fairways from the spring rains. The greens were very fair.
nice course that is generally not too busy
can now book tee times on golf now, generally easy to get tee time, friendly staff, average clubhouse, new carts, fairways are good, bunkers with adequate sand ,greens average speed pretty nice layout, some fairly tough holes, generally not too costly
great course
Course is in great shape. It's worth the drive, if you live in the cities
Good golf course
Two distinct nines mixed throughout, (1,2,8,9-12,17, & 18 are the original 9). The original nine is good with tree lined fairways and the new nine is more open. Greens are very good, but the course has some drainage issues on the new nine. If you are in the area, you should play at least once. I find it is better than Luck or Siren.
Fun course and Very friendly staff.
Not a difficult track, but a fun play to be sure. Can move around course very quickly and this adds to the playability. Worth a try if you are in the area!
one of my favorites
At my age any coarse is a challenge I am 75. This coarse gives me a good feeling, even when I miss a shot or two. I brought 3 buddies with me. We will all be back to play Frederic again.
