Country Club Estates
About
Country Club Estates Golf Course in Fontana is a nine-hole course spread across gently rolling hills. The layout is player friendly enough for beginners and for scratch golfers it's great for a quick round. It can be played in less than two hours. The golf course is wide open, offering beautiful vistas of the Lake Geneva area. It may not be long but it's good practice if you're looking to work on your short game. Proper club selection is the key to scoring well on this course rather than being able to hit long. You'll come across a few blind approaches and the occasional bunker, but it's nothing over difficult. Country Club Estates Golf Course's third hole runs alongside a river and you may catch a glimpse of some wildlife -- including deer and heron -- coming out for a drink of water.

Good Value
They had 11 inches of rain lately so I'll try to review without mentioning all the flooding and standing water. Really should have advised when booking or checking in. Great course! Great for a quick nine. Challenging in spite of seemingly short yardage. Greens were in great shape. Standing water did add a bit more of a challenge! :) Rolling and scenic. Would love to play under normal conditions.
Short 9
It’s a good but short 9 hole course. Since there are so many par 4s, your second shot is the most critical one. You get to use your driver a lot which I love. Putting is decent greens are well maintained. Fairway could be a little better and it’s easy to hit out of the rough, the few times I missed the fairways.
Course has something for almost any level.
Course is very nice, well maintained. This was the first time we played this course.
It was challenging enough for someone who plays almost daily - hills, sand, distance (my spouse).
Staff was very nice, recognized immediately that this was booked via GolfNow.
We are already planning to go back and play again
Getting better all the time.
I first played this course 35 years ago when it was nothing more than a hilly pasture with greens mowed into it. This course has turned into a well manicured place to play. The greens were well cared for and very quick. Not many people on the course when I was there so pace of play was very good. Only waited to hit a few shots during my round. Nice getaway for a quick 9 holes.
Poor management, won’t accept time shown online
2nd time I’ve been told the course is closed for leagues even though tee times were available on Golf Now. Poor customer service and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience
Great layout in a little space
I was very impressed with Country Club estates. Most people get scared off of 9 hole courses, but this one is worth it. The design is great lots of dog legs and ups and downs. Very few back and forth straight forward holes. Courses conditions were as to be expected but the greens were definitely better than I anticipated. This is a great course to go play in the Lake Geneva area if your short on time. Check it out.
Charming and Challenging course
My wife and I played this course for the first time. We really enjoyed this quaint little 9-hole course. The holes were very challenging and hilly. Tough pin placement. Fairways and greens were in great shape! Certainly will play here again!
Watch out for #8 !
A fun 9 Hole layout that's quick to play and is in good shape. I've played it a dozen times and still can't figure out the right way to approach hole number 8. Good luck!
Good course for a quick nine. We enjoyed the views. It was in wonderful condition. A great improvement over previous years. I just wish they would invest in electric carts. The fumes are really bad.
Nice 9 hole course
This is perfect if you want a quick 9. Nothing fancy.
Great 9 hole course
This is the nicest 9-hole course I’ve played. Fairways are in great condition, the holes are short but challenging, and it’s located in Fontana just off Hwy B. Plenty of bending dog-leg fairways will make the short par-4s seem long unless you place your drive perfectly. This is especially true with holes 7 & 8. Stay clear of the woods on the left side of holes 2-4 as you will not get your ball back, as well as the swamp over the hill on the left side of the 8th fairway. Blind pins are a theme as many of the holes may not give you a good view of the green from your approach shot. There is no beverage cart, but they do sell beer in the clubhouse and they have a small deck overlooking the 9th green. This course can be pricey on weekends ($30), but not bad during the week (especially after 4). It’s a little hilly, but still easily walkable if you wished to save a little more money. There is a pitching green a short cart ride away from the clubhouse.
Sometimes the pace of play may be a little slow on the weekends, but most of the time people will let you play through if it's not stacked up.
Course is kept in great shape!
Staff and everyone playing there is super friendly. The course is in phenomenal shape. I paid for 18 hole thinking not was an 18 hole course when I booked online, it's only a 9 hole course. That's my mistake, I only played 9 holes, I did not go around a second time.
Best value in golf
My wife and I got $10 green fees on golf now. Yes $10. Course in great shape. Not especially difficult or long. Never saw another group. Course was completely ours. Finished in an hour and a half. Fantastic.
Never knew about this course...glad we found it!
Great day to golf. First time we played the course. Glad we took a cart as it was quite rolling. Good condition and the staff was very friendly. Would come back again!
Very Nice
Great value. The course is well maintained. The layout is nice...simple but with some challenge. Nice elevation changes. Will definitely play again.
Good value
