The view from the approach to the green of #15, looking across the Par 3 #17, "A Bestly Beauty". The most stunning view on the course! Photo submitted by mwaschka on 11/05/2012

Par 3 #8 from the tee box looking down at the green. A sand or lob wedge is all you'll need here. Across the driveway/road is out of bounds. Ball marks can be fairly deep on this green. Carry a ball mark repair tool for this one. Photo submitted by mwaschka on 11/05/2012

The all-clear bell on #15 at the dogleg left signaling to those waiting on the tee it is OK to tee off on the hole. Photo submitted by mwaschka on 11/05/2012

The clubhouse. This is a small clubhouse my most course standards, but is a window to Door County of the past. Somethings are better left unchanged and this is one of them. I love this clubhouse! It is perfect! Photo submitted by mwaschka on 11/05/2012
Course was fine. No complaints. Starter/cashier not particularly friendly. Seemed annoyed at my questions. The following day I used the practice range. As I attempted to pay, he turned his back, walked away and continued to sort balls into baskets. Not particularly customer friendly. Will consider alternative courses in future.
My favorite course
Of the hundreds of courses that I have played from Florida, to Arizona, to my home state of Missouri, this is my favorite course. We plan vacations around coming to play the course, and it is my favorite in Door County, as well everywhere else.
Very nice course. Thought it’d cost more.
We had some issues when we arrived to the course. We were only 5 minutes early (our fault). We drove three and a half hours and hit traffic. Once again, that’s on us but we left with plenty of time to spare. They let the tee time after us take ours. That’s fine, it’s literally why you get there early, but instead of giving us theirs, the starter tried to move us back an hour and a half with no explanation other than you can’t be ready in time for yours. Frustrated, we went inside and honestly were too rude to them inside, but the starter was not understanding what we were saying and honestly didn’t care to. He continued to be rude until we left the tee box. Either way, it was a miscommunication and the manager did a fantastic job of making things right and getting us out on the next tee time. Once we got on the course, it was great, especially this time of year. The changing leaves were great and they have a couple of signature holes that is a nice thing to have if you play golf a lot and don’t get a lot of variety. You don’t play many course that have a 69 yard par 3, that is so steep with slope it plays 37 yards. It seemed goofy when you walk up but it’s fun to have that variety. Even with the brutal experience with the starter, everyone else just wanted to help and I’d recommend this course to anyone. I never leave reviews on stuff, but I felt the way this was handled was worth it. We were ready to cancel and the manager ended up saving the first day of our vacation and it was much appreciated. So thank you.
Great improvement
I’ve played the course for many years and this was the best ever, The course has been greatly improved both greens and fairways .
Even with the Covid virus affecting amenities, it was still a great day.
The “6 hole short course” is such a great practice bonus.
Excellent Fall Color In Northern Wisconsin
Had a great time playing at Peninsula. Some tight holes, but overall a fun, hilly, scenic and colorful fall round in Door County!
Fun Course for Door County
This was my 2nd time playing this course. It's 1 of the few that can be found in Door County WI. It is a very well maintained course and other than the quirky hole #8 pretty straightforward. Some of the most amazing views can be found scattered throughout the course as well. Front nine plays much like a muni course, shorter, straight or slightly dog legged holes. The back 9 is a whole other game. I don't know the history of this course yet the back seems to have been carved out of the side of the mountain as an after thought at times. Still fund to play yet a few of the holes can become a train wreck from 1 bad tee shot.
Nice Course
I made the reservation with Golf Now and they charged me too much. The course had a twilight and was half the price. Because a storm came in we had to quit after 11 holes. Bummer times two.

Beware ladies
I was really looking forward to playing this course, but unfortunately one rude and condescending employee ruined the experience. I was playing with my husband and two other gentlemen. As I was standing on the fourth tee box, a ranger pulled up and asked the guys ‘’Does she know that she can hit from the reds?’ My husband replied we are all hitting from the whites. We were then told that they can track the carts, and we were running 4-5 minutes behind. Actually after the third hole one of the guys had to use the bathroom which took a few minutes, but apparently they can’t track that. I certainly hope this course’s staff rethinks how they address players and their pace. It is so unprofessional and unacceptable to target the female in the group as the source of the problem. For the record, our group finished in under four hours.
Hello, thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for your experience during your round. Please know that this is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. Thank you for playing Peninsula State Park Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.
Idyllic!!!
The course is great, somewhat challenging, and fun to play; but the real joy of this course is it's idyllic setting! If you had to dream up a course and where to put it, I would dream up this course and put it right where it is on the escarpment over Green Bay in Door County. A must play course for anyone!!!
Way too slow
Need course marshal out there to keep things moving. Had too many way too slow golfers just standing around in front of us looking at each other’s balls instead of playing. Quit after 9 holes. Not acceptable.

A walk in the park.
Within the boundaries of Peninsula State Park you will find a beautiful golf course. The views on the back nine are spectacular.
