East/North at Evergreen Golf Club
About
Located just north of Lake Geneva, Evergreen Golf Club in Elkhorn offers 27 holes of championship golf that have earned the club a reputation as one of the state's premier golfing destinations. The nines, East, South and North, are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The East/North begins with the shortest of the three nines though it is still just as challenging. Water comes into play often throughout this combination of nines, notably on the final hole of the East nine. Golfers will need a straight, well struck drive on this par 4 that will get you far along enough for a good view of your second shot, which you'll need since there is water in play on the left and a bevy of bunkers to the right.

Decent price for a well maintained course
This course is forgiving, to a point. Most fairways are large, but there is still a fair amount of trouble if you take too many risks. Overall it’s a pretty good challenge, but if you’re on your game you can make a lot of pars. Nice setting and the course plays fairly fast. I will be going back.
Hot day of Golf
First time on Evergreen this year. Course was in good shape. Greens were rolling true. There were a couple of greens which had ground under repair. Other than those couple of eyesores the course was good. The beer cart lady was attentive and visited us numerous times, and it was needed and appreciated.
Brutal Pace of Play
Worst pace of play I’ve ever experienced. Avoid this place at all costs if you want to finish your round in a reasonable time
Nice Surprise
I was pleasantly surprised how nice and fun this course was you definitely need to know where to miss here the only thing is no driving range but everything else was very good
Great
Early November
Course was in great condition, Very green on the fairways and greens for being November. Since this course has mostly Evergreen ( hence the name) there was no issues with leaves on almost all the holes. Very nice!
First time not the last time
Evergreen has been on my list of courses to play since moving to southeastern Wisconsin. I took a deal on TeeOff and was able to secure 18 with a cart for $31. Once getting assigned the East course and the North course, the round started and the layout was discovered. Evergreen uses a fair amount of doglegs as well as a good number of short par fours. I only hit driver 4 times over 18 holes. A driving iron or a long iron off tee was all that was needed. 200-220 off tee set you up for a short iron into the green on most holes. Par 5's both were gettable in two. I got par and one birdie on all of them. There are not many direct hazards to hit over on the East and North courses. There is a ton of lateral hazards, out of bounds. The course could play tight at times.
Overall, great conditions, great time. I played the East in 2 hours because of the people in front of me and the group in front of them. The North course was about the same, 1 hr 45 mins.
One thing that was missing. No beverage cart. With all the people on the course, it was surprising that there were no beverages being sold. Missed out on making money on that one.
