The Orchards at Egg Harbor is situated on the peninsula that separates Lake Michigan from Green Bay. The area's natural beauty is perfectly encapsulated on the golf course. The layout starts out gently with a relatively flat and mostly open front nine before moving on to the tougher, hillier back nine. The front nine does have its fair share of strategically placed bunkers though, most notably those lining the fairway on the tricky uphill seventh hole. There are a variety of elevation changes on the back nine that range from subtle to dramatic. Golfers can be sure to expect some difficult lies. Water is not a prominent feature on the golf course but it does come into play, quite memorably, on the 17th where a massive lake wraps around almost the entire hole.

The Orchards not even a full 3 star rating? I'm not sure who rates these courses but The Orchard is certainly a top 3 Door County course. No less that a 3.5 to 4 star rating. I personally rate The Orchards higher than Horseshoe Bay; a lot less expensive to golf as well.
