Course is challenging
Lot of blind shots, 2 long par 3's pace of play was slow got stuck behind 2couples with 3 kids never let anyone play through
Close and fun
30 min drive from Madison and had a great time, course is in good condition and couldn't beat the price. Will be back soon.
A Great day to golf
This is a beautiful small town course which I was surprised to find out was the home course of Steve Stricker. It is a scenic course with some challenging holes. I had a great time and I will be back.
Great course
Friendly staff, fun course we love
The town country club
Beats staying inside!
Thank you Golf Now. Wow I can't play any of my Municipal's for what Golf Now got me for this Tee Time. Edgerton Town CC is a very nice course. It is challenging, fun and bedeviling. Easily accessible from Madison, it is easy to find, and bring a course management approach.
Great people and maintained well.
The people at the course are always friendly. They also will go out of their way to help you. The grounds crew also does a very nice job of keeping the course ready to play and in good condition. I always like playing here and played my best score on this course today of 79. The front nine is tight and the back nine opens up. Try it you will like it.
This course in in great shape despite the drought-like conditions we've had this summer.
I've always liked playing TCC. It is challenging yet women-friendly for an intermediate golfer. The views are spectacular from every tee box, especially in the Fall.
Well maintained, short course
Great value. Great course for beginners. Lots of fun.
A short course, but well maintained and full of character.
Towne doesn't look great through the pictures on their website, but it's a very well maintained course that remains challenging despite being relatively short. A very good value, and the staff and patrons were all very friendly. I will be playing there agagin.
Great Challenging Course
Great experience and the Steve Stricker memorabilia was great to see
Nice course, well groomed
Early tee time, nice course!
Cart path need serious attention but does not effect the niceness of the course.
A Challenge for every golfer!
Overall we had a great time at this course. It was our first time here, and had heard it was a tough course. Being average players, we found it challenging but not impossible to play.
The greens didn't cut you any slack. I pride myself on my putting, but I had to work to get anything out of these holes. The narrower fairways really forces you to be accurate in your drives. If you weren't accurate in your hits, you'd really see it in your scores.
The scenery: BEAUTIFUL! Being a hilly course, there were a lot of stunning views. We saw a bunch of wildlife (we played in the morning), including a pair of turkeys and their 6 chicks, cross one of our fairways. It was quiet and relaxing.
The only thing that was negative about our experience was that we had 2 groups of slow players ahead of us. They would lose their ball in the tall grass or woods and would spend TEN MINUTES looking for the things. If they hit a bad drive, they would tee up and try again! This type of thing is fine when there is no one behind you, but we were there and one other group always waiting for these people. It was frustrating at times.
I would recommend this course to anyone, and we will visit again in the future.
I like the layout of the course
The course is well groomed & challenging. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Great variation in the types of holes. Also beautiful trees and landscaping.
Edgerton Towne Country Club is one of our favorite courses -- good availablity and varying challenges throughout the course.
Unique front 9 with alot of "character" - Fun to play.
Fairways in nice shape - tall rough makes in imperative to play in the fairway to score. Greens OK for this early in the year given the weather this spring. Outstanding value due to a very competative rate thru Golf Now.
great course!
The course was great, the weather was awful. It was cold n horribly windy which made an already challenging course even more difficult. Many lost balls in our group. Looking forward to going back in better weather!
Enjoyable course with challenges.
Course was in good shape with good fairways and very firm greens which needed backspin to hold the greens in most cases. The challenges are there throughout the course with rewarded risks but also reasonable alternatives to get to the hole with less risk. You can easily get into trouble if your risks don't pan out. The whole spectrum of ups, downs, rights, lefts, and straights are part of the topography of the course as well as a number of blind situations because of the topography. You also have valleys and marsh as well as several ponds and several tree bordered fairways with which to deal. You earn your pars and in most cases really earn your birdies. Walking is a workout, and a cart makes it easy for your legs.
Liked the Golf Now ease to get tee time.
First time on the course, its tight on some holes. Would really need to play the course in another week, it would be awesome with just the view on some of the holes. Play the whites the first round then you can see the course, where the miss is. Play it again , yes for sure...
