Meadow/Sugar Creek at Alpine Valley Resort
About
Alpine Valley Resort sprawls across the Kettle Moraine in southern Wisconsin, lending a unique landscape to each of its three nine-hole courses: Summit, Meadows, and Sugar Creek. In the winter, Alpine Valley is one of Wisconsin's largest ski resorts. The golf courses can be played individually or as 18-hole combinations. The Meadows/Sugar Creek will start players off on a landscape of open, grassy meadows before the landscape becomes more wooded and hillier. The namesake creek of the second nine bisects two holes on the Meadows. The back nine, Sugar Creek, is situated right along the banks of the creek. Water plays a prominent role throughout the entire golf course, with hazards coming from not only the creek but also several lakes and small ponds. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers to contend with.

Beautiful course
Well maintained and so scenic! Hole 9 very scenic with possibility of hole in 1! Can't wait to go back'
Tough dog legs and greens
The greens are in perfect shape. The fairways were so so, some burn out spots from tough winter. This is not an exceptionally long course, but you hit into a lot of blind shots with very hard dog legs left and right. It is possible to hit through fairways on these dog legs. Lots of pine trees along the fairways that create challenges even if you hit a good drive. Love the course. My brother-in-law was visiting from Arizona and he was impressed with some of the views.
I recommend this course to my friends and their friends
Let's just say I'm in love with this course as it's just fun to play. The dog legs are tough and the par threes are fun to play over and over. If you like elevation up and down than this is the place to golf. Today they even had the gigantic leaf blower out blowing the fairways clear. Last week they air-rated and you really cant tell as the greens were good enough for fall play. A few tee boxes are beat up but the course plays tough with 500+ par 5's that are nearly impossible to drive in two but you'll want to try. The staff is the best as they have the keys ready to send you out on Golf now...just a first name and you're good to go. You get done and the guy is right there telling you to leave it there and hope you enjoyed your round. It's a must play if you're not from the area and if you are then you'll see me there because I'm playing there twice a week now.
Nice well established course!
Always have a great time there. Lots of hills and some great holes. Look forward to playing there again soon.
The greens are fast.
Takes skill and alot of luck to 2 putt the greens.
You'll want to replay certain holes
This course is great and I recommend it to all if you enjoy multiple elevations. Today I played from the blue and enjoyed the course even more. There are two par threes that play 200ft in the air from the green. I love #4 as you can see your shot all the way down to the hole. Yet number nine plays only 135 yard and you just hit the ball out over the tree tops and hope that it lands on the green. They have many blind shot greens so drives off the tees are tricky. The cart girl is always out and the food at the turn was great. Thanks again Alpine as I'll be back next week.
Under construction
The front nine was closed for play. Played on a Friday and it seamed like the ground people with there cart followed us around the course. The fairways were in need of water it had bald spots. The greens were in good shape but some people don't like to repair there ball marks on the greens.
course layout is good
Almost every tee box needs work, signage and markers could be improved and could be more accurate
Nice Practice Course
If you can get on this course with a GolfNow Hot Tee Time, it is definitely worth the money. Many, and I mean Many, elevation changes, which was new to me. Was fun to play and it was cool to play amongst the ski hill and ampitheatre. The Tee boxes were in terrible shape, but other than that the fairways and greens were in great shape. The greens played very slow, but were in good shape. All in all, for less than a dollar a hole, with a cart, it was worth playing.
The Greens were in Great Condition
It was a beautiful day. I started on Suger Creek, played 18 holes by myself and had no one in front of me or in back. It was a very relaxing round
Best Conditions ever!!!
Let me start with the Staff...Kudos to getting the course in the best condition I've ever played it in. The greens were perfect as I enjoyed one of my best rounds due to your work. Again I've played this course many times over the years and although this was a wet season the work they've done, shows. It was also nice to see a full course today as others are out enjoying it. The Summit course is one that everyone should play because you want to play it over and over. There's always a different way to play every hole...let's say there are plenty of risk and reward shots on this course...and that's what makes it great. Again I can't say enough about the conditions and how friendly the staff is. Thanks again Alpine for bring this course back to near perfect. This is a must play course for anyone wanting see something different then a back and fourth track.
good value
play was extremely slow but course was a great value for the price. just wished the ranger kept pace moving. literally 8 guys standing on the 18th green putting while we watched for 15 minutes.
Well maintained and very senic golf course. Beverage Cart was always around.
Very friendly staff. Nice pro shop. Golf Course was maintained and had some challenging holes.
This course has a lot of interesting holes.
This was the first time I have played here. I was impressed with the layout. A lot of the greens were elevated, which made it quite a challenge. This course is one that I would like to play again.
Keep eyes open
easily lose balls off of the fairways. rough is ROUGH!! Some nice hills. Baha the cart as there's some steeper inclines and rough paths. I will go back, but the course could use some sprucing up.
great price for this course
27 holes and you chose what 18 you want to play. The course is never packed so you make the pace of play.
Great course conditions and staff
easy to get to, course in very good shape, sporty pin placements, and very nice staff. I will play this again.
The rain has done this course well
I've played this course many times and this is the best I've ever seen it. The greens are perfect and the fairways are excellent. There are plenty of fun shots with blind greens and you'll want to play it again after you get done with the holes. Play the Summit and the Meadows as the Sugar Creak is too short. They've made improvements over the years and the trees have grown to make it a tough track. I played it using Golf Now for $12.28...cart included. Crazy and I felt like I got a deal of a lifetime.
Course is in great shape
Played twice this week. Course is in fantastic shape and the view is exceptional. Got behind a slow foursome that held us up, but was worth the wait. Great value. Will definitely play here several more times this season.
Not a long course but if you hit in the wrong spot you can't get to the green.
Course in great shape after big rain. Great value for what we paid.
