Kestrel Ridge Golf Club
About
Kestrel Ridge Golf Club in Columbus offers a fun getaway that is a just a quick drive from both Madison and Milwaukee. At just over 6,000 yards, it is a manageable length that beginners can approach with confidence. The terrain is mostly flat but there are some subtle undulations that can cause some tricky lies. The golf course, for the most part, is wide-open, though, a few mature trees border some of the fairways. A number of sparkling ponds dot the course, coming into play on a few holes. Kestrel Ridge Golf Club finishes with its signature hole, which claims to be the hardest two-shot par 4 to be found anywhere. This hole demands accuracy with a two-tiered fairway, sloped from left to right, that leads to a small landing area but after that you are then faced with a treacherous carry over a large rock ravine.

Nice place
Great time and always on pace ! Course is in great shape!
Wow
The course was horrific. Course should have been closed . Mud an water over the entire course.... fairways ,rough and even the lakes they called sand traps. Shot worst game in over 25 years, by 30 stroke. 9 other people quit even after 9 holes. Dont know how it is in summer but wouldnt recommended this course to my worsrt enemy. Course poorly taken care of is an understatement. Golf on people
Greens are in terrific shape. Overall this course was definitely worth playing again.
Great course
This is a fun course to play. In great shape. Another enjoyable round
Great course
Kestrel Ridge is in great shape, greens ars perfect and fairways the same. Wide open fairways. Great value for the money.
Cheap Golf
Decent place to work on your game. Incredibly cheap course is mediocre
Nice Challenge. Friendly staff
Course is a fun challenge. Pace of play is usually really good.
Very friendly staff.
Slow
Group of 6 were allowed on course which made for extremely slow play. Tee boxes pretty beat up and hard. Overall just average at best.
A hidden gem
Very nice course...tees, fairways and greens in excellent shape. Water comes into play on many holes, as does the traps. If there was one negative, it has to be the golf carts. I've played this course many times and it seems that there is always some sort of problem with the cart I'm using. Not a real big deal, though...never been stranded.
on the short side, forgiving fairways, greens in good shape, good course layout. Overall a fun course to play
A fun course
First time for my son and I to play Kestral. Only had time for the front 9 but would definitely come back for more. Have heard that the back 9 is fun. Water and bunkers come into play at a number of holes but not too extreme to scare off the average golfer.
Extremely good value and a challenging course
We played at mid-day and there were several golfers on the course. The pace of play was very good and played 18 holes in 3 hours. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition in spite of recent heavy rains. It is an easy, but long course to walk.
Good Course
Not overly difficult but still fun to play. Good value for the money. Hot Deal
good local course
Greens and fairways groomed well. Greens very fast. Second cut very long, 3 to 4". Overall a good medium level player challenge.
Avid golfer
Great condition. True Links course. Great value for the money.
Nice course for average golfer
Course has some interesting holes
Excellent value via Golfnow.com
It had rain a couple of inches the night before but there were no cart restrictions on the course. Just used a little common sense around casual water.
The course has some interesting holes.
Fun to play and very friendly staff. Good food in clubhouse.
