Pines at Edgewood Golf Course
About
There are two golf courses at the Edgewood facility in Big Bend, the Pines and the Oaks. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome at Edgewood. More experienced players can take on the formidable Oaks Course, which plays across rolling forested hills, while beginning and intermediate players might be more comfortable on the more player-friendly Pines Course. The forgiving Pines layout is flatter and more walker-friendly, but that is not to say it is a simple pitch-and-putt golf course. Plenty of sand bunkers come into play and there are large lakes that come into play on a few holes. At 6,500 yards, it is shorter than the other course by about 300 yards, offering a quicker pace of play. In addition to the two golf courses, Edgewood also has a driving range and short game facility with two putting greens, a chipping green, and a practice bunker.

Good place to play the game
I'm becoming a regular player at Edgewood since last year, and every time I go there I really enjoy the experience. Golf course condition is pretty acceptable and the scenery could be breath taking at this time of the year.
Thank you Jrdaiz69 for your review, we are glad that you have become a regular at our property! We look forward to having you out for more positive experiences!
Thank You again!!
Good course, okay facilities and staff
Good value for the cost. Course offers 36 holes and overall is moderately challenging. Great layout and variety. Facilities are rather old and the staff wasn't incredibly attentive or friendly. I will golf there again due to value.
Sorry to hear you didn't have the greatest experience at the course! Please email me directly at sammyteetimes@gmail.com so we can discuss more about this.
Meh...
Not impressed with the course at all. They hadn't shaved the greens in days. It was the slowest round I've played this year. 5+ hours. There was no effort by the starter or ranger to improve upon the pace of play. Tons of weekend golfers drinking beer. They do have a decent practice facility.
Thank you for the review and your feedback about the course. Sorry to hear you were not impressed with the course or the conditions. Pace of play can be slower on the weekends but we may have dropped the ball if the ranger did not help improve that. We hope you give us another shot and come back again!
Edgewood Golf Course - Pines Course
Freindly staff and layout choices make Edgewood a great track. The Pines is a great course for outiings, not difficult, yet sporty. It has rolling terrain, yet fairily open. You will enjoy playing The Pines. The other course at Edgewood, The Oaks, is a challenge, with water and elevation changes into play.
You will come back for more.
Thank you for the review and the feedback about your experience on both courses! We're glad you enjoyed playing and hope to see you again soon!
ok course
Not worth the hour drive for me. Staff was not very friendly with the exception of the cart girl, she was fine. Has some nice holes but not in fantastic shape ( the bunkers were horrible ). The web site bragged about the fast play at the Pines course. My foursome played in 4 hours 40 minutes, not what I consider fast. Probably wont be back
We're sorry to hear your experience was less than what you expected. We'd like to hear more about your time at Edgewood, please email me directly at sammyteetimes@gmail.com
Both Course Equally Challenging
If you are thinking of Oaks on a yardage standpoint, it's more difficult. But the pines requires more accuracy in my opinion. Both present a challenge to all levels of players. Only complaint I have is the tee boxes. A little worn down and un-leveled in places. If you don't have a problem backing up a yard or two, you won't mind. Highly recommend you get with the times and book online to save a few bucks, golfnow or their website is always cheaper. Full bar with cart service. Every 3-4 holes you'll see one on a nice day. Food is snacks and hot dogs. Don't go expecting a burger or full bar menu. Highly recommend the course though, rate of play is what it is, all depends on the group ahead of you, no matter where you go. I've only seen the starter come out once in my time there. Probably golfed here 100+ times in the last 8 years.
Wow over 100 times! Thanks! We're glad you think the course is a value and that you keep coming back. We still offer the best rates on our website and always will! You will always save money when booking online. Hope to see you again this summer!
Good times
Great course always kept up really nice and always have a great time there.
Awesome! So good to hear you have always have a nice time and that the course is kept up. Great compliment! Hope to see you soon!
A very good locals course.
The Pines is a pretty good track especially the middle holes of the course. There is a couple pretty cool holes right around ponds and the fox river #13 and #14 especially. The course was in good shape about what we had expected for a $35 dollar greens fee and cart. The problem we had was we were told we would have no issue making the turn before the leagues. Unfortunately we got behind some slow groups and with no rangers out there nothing was done. We should up to the 10th tee and there is a line of league guys, needless to say we got dirty looks when the ranger told them they had to wait for us. If you know you have leagues and people that need to make the turn, you better have rangers making sure people are going to make. Other than that this is a nice place to come play and relax and have a good round.
Very Nice 36 Hole Facility
I have played the sister course the oaks a few times, was my first time playing the pines, And I have to say I was thrilled with this 18 holes and the different things this course challenged me with. And the greens were in great shape, and rolled true not super fast. Nice wide fairways and nice size greens. I will be back a few times to play the pines again. Pace of play was excellent here. Cost is nice to. I was asked which did I enjoy best here? I said I would put the pines front 9 and the Oaks back 9 as my favorites, and that would be my thought about playing. Although the other 9's a very nice. Very Beautiful course the pines. I holed out 40-38=78 from the Blue tees.
Thank you for the nice review! We're glad you got a chance to play both courses! Each course has a lot to offer and different holes to keep it challenging! Hope to see you again this summer.
Good ol' Wisconsin Winter Golf!!!
Winter is here in Wisconsin and even though there's plenty of driving ranges to choose from, nothing is better than hitting up an actual golf course in the middle of Winter!
Good course
Good course for the money. Greens were good for the time of the year. Some of the tee boxes were suspect. Fairways were in decent condition.
Secluded course
Most of this course is secluded from houses etc. which makes for a beautiful course to play in the fall. The course has a good mix of challenging and easy holes to make for a fun round of golf.
Edgewood Pines
Course was in great shape. Greens were excellent too.
good shape
course kept well
early tee time late beverage cart
good price
great weather
fairly good challenge
playable course
The pines is a fun course to play with a variety of holes. The course is in pretty good shape but there a couple holes that are water damaged but overall I enjoy playing this course
4 different 9's
A good quality course with 36 holes of challenging layouts. reasonable par 3's. Our league has played here for 15 years.. Great course for the price and very friendly staff.
Edgewood Pines
Tee boxes were not cut and probably in same spots from day before. Bunkers were wait even thou it had not rained the night before.
Edgewood Review
Nice place to take my 10yr old. It's inexpensive and they have marked family tees which is great!
great value under the hot deal page
The Pines front nine starts out player friendly but gets gradually more difficult. The back nine plays a bit harder. The greens were in great shape.
Glad to hear your feedback! Thanks for the review.
