Prairie Woods Golf Course
About
Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

Reviews
Awesome course
This course is so much fun. Slight elevation changes, fun greens.
Something about the first 4 holes I'm not a fan of, but really can't say why.
I think my wife enjoys the course more. Both times we played here she holed out from green side bunkers.
Will definitely be playing this course again.
Highly Recommend
Praire Woods is great if you are looking be for a calm course with a good landscape!
Blustery adventure
Appreciate course opening March 3rd for blustery 70 degree day in Wisconsin on March 3rd! Several holes shielded from the wind. Fun planning shots veering 40 yards in the swails! Sometimes we were two holes ahead, other times pushed, depending on the whims of the God of wind (Kohler?).
Great course
Beautiful, fun course in great shape for the fall. Fairways were blown off leaves and the crew was still working hard to keep it clean and professional. I will go back next spring for sure!
Gimmicky Course
this course was recommended by a neighbor so we gave it a try. When booking I thought it was pricy for the area on a weekday.
Course is kind of out in the middle of farms and cornfields so I was surprised to find a forested rolling hill golf course there. Weather was perfect and the course was in pretty good shape (lot of recent rain). The biggest issue we had was the layout. Hard to get around for a first timer. We had to ask the way to the next hold twice. Also, there were several right angle dog legs, blind shots over hills, etc. Would not go back there. Should not have been more than a $35 round for a weekday on this course.
Course was in good shape, tee boxes were a little hilly, but not worth complaining about. Staff was nice and quick to get us out. Only complaint would be the bee that stung my ankle, hopefully they do something about that soon. I didn’t mind a few minutes afterwards because it gave me an excuse for my inadequate shots. Good course, and would recommend checking out.
Loved the challenge
This is a well kept course in the rolling wooded location among corn fields. We started on #10 the back nine felt easy and smooth. kinda forgiving fairways' with minimal hazards. The front nine had longer fairways and more water to deal with.
I loved the course layout and pace of play.
It was only the last three hole's that I felt pressure from who I understood was a men's league player. Kept playing up on me, shadowing as I call it.
Great play for any golfer. Challenge yourself and play this great hidden gem in the cornfields. Driving range and putting/practice greens onsite.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our golf course. We appreciate your neighbor's recommendation and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful forested rolling hills and the well-maintained course. We apologize for any difficulties you experienced with the layout during your round and appreciate your feedback.
