It's not hard to find beauty at the Brute at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva
Considered one of the toughest golf courses in the Midwest, The Brute at Grand Geneva Resort is arguably one of the prettiest as well with elevated tees, large greens, 68 bunkers and impeccable playing conditions. The course, which was designed by Robert Bruce Harris, plays to nearly 7,100 yards from the tips but its most predominant feature might be the large greens, which average more than 8,000 square feet with deceiving slopes.

Eat like royalty at The American Club in Kohler
The American Club doesn't get the credit it deserves as a destination for foodies. Two local favorites -- Wisconsin cheese and beef -- are prominently featured on several menus at this five-star golf retreat on the shores of Lake Michigan and the Sheboygan River one hour north of Milwaukee. Golfers here can sample the fare at the Horse & Plow, the Immigrant Restaurant, the Wisconsin Room, the Craverie Chocolatier Cafe, and more. There's no shortage of choices, that's for sure!
